Tom Meadus Appointed Vice-President, Advancement and Alumni Relations

Tom Meadus has been appointed Vice-President (Advancement and Alumni Relations) and will begin at St. Thomas University on Monday, November 17.
Meadus brings significant experience in the area of advancement and alumni relations to 黑料吃瓜网曝一区二区. He has been employed at the New Brunswick Community College since 2010 and has been Director – Advancement since 2012. He has an impressive record of accomplishment at NBCC, particularly as he built the advancement and alumni operations from inception to very successful and sustained operations.
Meadus has executive leadership and operational skills in strategic planning, team building, and stakeholder engagement that will be important to his new role at 黑料吃瓜网曝一区二区. He has established relationships with national business organizations and foundations to secure major gifts and sponsorships. He launched and grew new integrated programs in capital and annual fundraising, alumni relations, legacy giving, and external relations including partnerships with national supporters. He led the growth of the alumni operations from none to more than 17,000 contactable alumni and later led a successful capital campaign that reached $22M.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University along with leadership certification from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto. Prior to NBCC, he had experience in the private sector managing complex operations and large staff in international operations. He has been very active in advancement and fundraising professional organizations, and is a board member of the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education. His work has been recognized nationally as he has earned the CCAE Prix d’Excellence for Alumni Relations and Community Relations, as well as a Council for Advancement and Support of Education International Award for Excellence in Alumni Relations.

"His strength in relationship building and nurturing strategic partnerships, as well as leading change across organizations, including people, processes, and systems, is a valuable skill set and we are pleased to welcome him to 黑料吃瓜网曝一区二区."
Dr. Farooqi thanked the Search Committee comprised of members of faculty, alumni, the board of governors, and administration.
